British Open 2008 at Royal Birkdale
A special travel experience! Play at top rated courses in Wales and the Royal Birkdale area, and then enjoy the Open at Birkdale
Our tour starts with three of Wales' top courses including Nefyn & District (see photo below) with accommodations in historic hotels in Wales villages. Then we go to nearby "golf coast" of England near Royal Birkdale, where the Open is being played. The tour includes two or three days at the Open (your choice) and two more days of golf on top English golf courses. Tour is nine nights and ten days. Choose escorted or fly-drive (which can be fine-tuned to your group's desires). Prices start under $5,000 per person. Call or email for details.

Play the 2008 British Open course: Royal Birkdale
Some of Britain's best courses are around Royal Birkdale in northwest England. Add on Ireland, Scotland or Wales.
Royal Birkdale is rated #1 in the UK by some, even higher than St Andrews. Some of the finest links type courses and other Open venues are in the same region of northwest England: Royal Liverpool (venue of the 2006 Open-Tiger Woods won), Royal Lytham & St Annes, Formby, Hillside, and others. Play entirely in NW England or combine that region with golf in Scotland, Ireland or Wales.

How to save money, avoid the crowds, and get tee times at the top courses? Travel in shoulder seasons.
If you travel March through May and September through October, the weather is good and the crowds are much smaller. It's also easier to get on the top courses. Put a group together for next spring or fall and call us for a custom tour.

We will send you to Ireland's world class courses and put you in country manors, castles, historic hotels
Our clients rave about their Irish golf experience.
Classic Heritage Tours offers tours to all great golfing areas of Ireland (with outstanding sightseeing also). New tours to Northwest Ireland and Northern Ireland have been very popular. For examples of Irish tours, click below.
